If we have some extra funds in the deposits, we will use those extra funds for additional gas costs if necessary, or we may have some money coming back to each pilot.

Two tow plane process:

  • Pilots will be assigned Priority by the date deposit check is received by Honcho
  • The first 10 pilots, including Honcho, whose checks are received will go into Priority #1
  • Pilots 11-20 whose check is received will go into Priority #2
  • Any pilots after first 20 will go into Priority #3
  • A minimum of 17 pilots will be needed for a two tow plane operation
  • If we do not get 17 pilots any Priority #2 pilots will be given the option of receiving their  deposit check back or remaining a Priority #2 and towing after all Priority #1 pilots have launched
  • In the off chance we do get over 20 pilots, Priority #3 pilots will only be towed after all Priority #1 and #2 pilots have launched
  • The Glider Launch Program will be decided at pilot meeting on the first day of the event to be held at 9:30am

Bishop Airport Glider operations rules

The Glider Launch Program (how we'll conduct the tows) will be decided at pilot meeting on Saturday July 2 to be held at 9:30am, but will generally follow the plan outlined in the Bishop Towing Plan Document with tow fees for both tow planes listed in Bishop Tow Fees Excel Spreadsheet

Do not hinder the air ambulance operations in any way. Many of the rules in the document above are to help prevent glider  and air ambulance interference.

Camping on the airport is not allowed. Discretion is advised.  Be a good guest and we will continue to be welcomed wherever we go.
