Twentynine Palms , CA   TNP    May 20 & 21, 2006

Latest update 07/23/2008

Larry Forqueran is the event honcho for Soarfari Event 2 which  is a two day weekend visit to Twentynine Palms, California.

We're looking to get a few more good men and women for this event. It's more fun with more too...

Larry says that the flying at TNP is good this time of year, and flights to Iron Mountain, Cuacao Summit , Big Bear, Toro Peak, Barstow, and other places should be within reach for the weekend! There is room for more Soarfari participants. So get your plane ready and go to Twentynine Palms.

John Heater will have his towplane available for tow service for Soarfari during this trip. There may also be a Twentynine Palms-based towplane at the field (probably only on Sunday).

There is at least a Motel 6, Best Western Garden Inn and a Holiday Inn Express  in town, but they don't show up in the hotel search from the AIRNAV link below. Additional Hotels are in Yucca Valley nearby.

The gate is open during normal business hours. Tie down at the EAST end of the airport where all the derelict planes are stored.

Camping is allowed, but they want you to be just outside the gate overnight.

You can contact Larry Forqueran for more information.
