A section of a
very interesting high pressure WOOD pipeline built to carry water from a dam up
stream to a hydro power station that powered Mackay, ID over a hundred years
ago. Supposedly built by Chinese laborers in about a year. It appeared to be
made in 10 foot long sections like looked like straight whiskey barrels wrapped
in steel wire and connected together and sealed end-to-end.
